Overview

In this broadcast, moderated by Dr Susan F Dent (Duke University, Durham, US), Dr Alexander Lyon (Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK), Prof Teresa López Fernández (University Hospital La Paz, Madrid, ES) and Prof Larissa Nekhlyudov (Harvard Medical School, Boston, US) discuss “Implementation of the new ESC/IC-OS Cardio-Oncology Guidelines”.

The faculty will provide a comprehensive overview of the 2022 ESC guidelines on cardio-oncology, encompassing the latest advancements and recommendations in this field. Next, the essential aspect of stratifying cardiovascular toxicity risk associated with cancer therapies is explored, enabling healthcare professionals to identify high-risk patients and tailor interventions accordingly. The most prevalent cardiovascular side effects induced by cancer therapies will be highlighted, equipping medical practitioners with crucial insights for early detection and management.

The partnership combines Radcliffe’s rapidly growing global community and expertise in delivering the most innovative virtual events, with the knowledge and experience of IC-OS’s members, to curate broadcasts that challenge current practice and have real-world patient benefits.

This broadcast is for cardiologists, haematologists, oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses and pharmacists.

The International Cardio-Oncology Society is a committed group of professionals throughout the world who are striving to protect the cardiovascular health of all patients who are undergoing cancer therapy.
