Angela Maas is a cardiologist since 1988. Over the past 25 years she has specialized in heart disease in women. Since May 2012 she holds a chair in ‘Cardiology for Women’ at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The main focus of her work are cardiac symptoms in women at middle-age and the role of female-specific risk factors in (early) heart disease. In the past years she started an expertcenter for microvascular coronary disease at the Radboudumc.
