In this broadcast, our distinguished panel delve into the dangers of radiation within cardiovascular laboratories and explore emerging solutions to address these critical concerns.
Dr David Rizik and Dr Bob Foster are featured in the upcoming PBS documentary "Scattered Denial: The Occupational Dangers of Radiation” and will share their stories, experiences, solutions and relevant clips from the film.
They will be discussing the radiation problem, the history of radiation in the lab, radiation-induced cancers, the orthopaedic problem, potential solutions and how to engage our administrators to care.

David Rizik
Dr David Rizik is the founder and medical director of the HonorHealth Heart Group, Arizona, US. He is also the Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Structural Heart and Coronary Interventions at HonorHealth.
Bob Foster
Dr Bob Foster is the President of ORSIF (Occupational Radiation Safety in Interventional Fluoroscopy) and the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Rampart IC, which provides radiation protection and orthopaedic fatigue solution for interventionalists and their teams, eliminating heavy lead.
Rhian E Davies
Dr Rhian E Davies is an Interventional Cardiologist and Director of Complex Coronary at WellSpan Health, Pennsylvania, US.
Dean J Kereiakes
Dr Dean Kereiakes is President of The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute, Medical Director of the Christ Hospital Research Institute and Professor of Clinical Medicine at The Ohio State University.
Tom Eagan
Dr Tom Eagan is a Cardiologist at Cardiovascular Associates, Alabama, US.
He is a University of Alabama Birmingham trained physician who then proceeded to gain advanced skills at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix.
