Ibrutinib Is Associated With Increased Cardiovascular Events and Major Bleeding in Older CLL Patients

A recently published article titled “Ibrutinib Is Associated With Increased Cardiovascular Events and Major Bleeding in Older CLL Patients” is the topic of conversation for this week’s educational broadcast, brought to you by IC-OS's partnership with Radcliffe, where we welcome you back to our monthly Journal Club.

Dr Vera Ferreira (Hospital de Santa Marta, PT) alongside Prof Dan Lenihan (Saint Francis Healthcare System, US) and Prof Joe Carver (University of Pennsylvania, US) will join forces to discuss why this study provides valuable insights into the safety profile of ibrutinib in older chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients and why it highlights the need for further research and clinical monitoring to optimise treatment outcomes in this population.
