The study assessed the association of metabolic surgery with major adverse cardiovascular and liver outcomes in patients with biopsy-proven non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. SPLENDOR reported a treatment modality that is associated with decreased risk of major clinical endpoints in patients with NASH.
