Rhythm Interventions Online 2022 – one of the leading practical education broadcasts in electrophysiology – took place 30 November – 2 December 2022.

 

Bringing together a faculty of over 40 key opinion leaders, seven case centres from both sides of the Atlantic and a global audience of over 2,500 delegates, RIO 2022 delivered best-in-class education curated to support practical learning and, ultimately, better patient outcomes.

 

With practice at its core, RIO again presented challenging and complex live cases from centres of excellence, alongside hot topics, presentations and debate from electrophysiologists at the forefront of practice and global innovation.

Roderick Tung

Associate Professor of Medicine Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology

Dr Roderick Tung is a widely renowned cardiologist and specialist in cardiac electrophysiology with over 20 years of experience in medicine.

His passion for cardiology grew from undergoing an ablation procedure to correct a cardiac arrhythmia in his early 20s.

Dr Tung is affiliated with The University Of Chicago Medical Center and has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and participated in 8 clinical trials in the past 15 years. In particular, he has co-authored 101 articles and participated in 1 clinical trial in the study of ventricular tachycardia (VT).

Ross Hunter

Consultant and Professor of Cardiology

Personal History

Professor Ross Jacob Hunter was born in 1977 in the UK. He is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in arrhythmia management and the clinical lead for AF services at The Barts Heart Centre.3

 

Academic History

Prof Hunter earned his BSc in Cardiovascular Medicine from Imperial College London in 1998. In 2001, he was awarded an MBBS with a distinction from Guy’s Kings & St Thomas and his MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians in 2004.2

In 2013, he completed his PhD from the Queen Mary University of London in the field of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology with a thesis focused on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. That year, he was also awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the London Deanery for Postgraduate Medical Education.2
