12m 1sPart 1 | Session 2 WATCHMAN TruPlan Software for LAAC Pre-procedural Planning: Xavier Millan Xavier Millan
Overview
This broadcast brought together faculty of global standing to share experiences of optimising procedural workflow with the WATCHMAN FLXTM.
With a focus on procedural considerations (including pre-, peri-, and post-procedure), in addition to providing expert insight on tools to support optimal patient care, this session provided an authoritative update on the management of LAAC and treatment strategies for patients at high risk of stroke.
In a series of presentations and discussions moderated by Dr Sergio Berti (Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio, IT), Dr Xavier Iriart (University Hospital of Bordeaux, FR) focussed on CT acquisition techniques and how to evaluate, whilst Dr Xavier Millan (Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Barcelona, ES) explored the WATCHMANTM TruPlanTM software for LAAC pre-procedural planning.
Prof Carsten Skurk (Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, DE) presented a challenging case focussing on optimising the TSP and WM FLX implanting in difficult anatomies, before Prof Jens Erik Nielsen Kudsk (Aarhus Universitetshospital, Skejby, Aarhus, DK) considered the role of cardiac CT in follow-up after LAA closure.
Learning Objectives
- Share experience about the management of LAAC procedures to offer treatment for patients at high risk for stroke
- Learn how new imaging modalities and workflow could help streamlining the LAAC procedure
- Understand features benefits of the new WATCHMAN TruPlan software for optimised procedural results
