Biography

Olivier F Bertrand is assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Laval University. His research interests include the use of transradial coronary intervention, the cardio-metabolic aspects of atherosclerosis, the imaging of atherosclerosis and therapies for acute MI. He is the principal investigator of the EASY studies and the VICTORY trial. Dr Bertrand graduated in medicine in 1990 from University of Liège (Belgium) and received his cardiology specialist diploma at the same institution in 1995. He did his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Montreal Heart Institute from 1995 to 1998. He obtained a PhD degree in experimental medicine from McGill University in 2000.
