Michel Farnier is a Doctor of Medicine, a researcher and a teacher. His interests are in dyslipidaemia, particularly its genetic aspects. He has conducted extensive research into type 2 diabetes and the development of new lipid-lowering drugs. He manages the ‘Point Medical’, a private clinic in Dijon. Professor Farnier is a graduate of the University of Dijon. He received a PhD in physical chemistry in 1974, an MD in 1981 and a human biology degree with a specialisation in clinical pharmacology and in endocrinology and nutritional diseases in 1986.
