Mauro Pepi is Director of Cardiac Imaging and the Echocardiographic Laboratory of the Institute of Cardiology, University of Milan, Centro Cardiologico Monzino, IRCCS, Milan. He also serves as Professor of the Postgraduate School of Cardiology of the University of Milan, a position he has held since 1995. Professor Pepi is a Fellow Italian Society of Cardiology, the Italian Society of Echocardiography, and the European Society of Cardiology, where he serves as a member of the working group on echocardiography. His core research activities include studies in echocardiography, hypertension, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiomyopathies, prosthetic heart valve disease, aortic dissection, 3D echocardiography and cardiac CT. Professor Pepi has authored and co-authored over 140 papers and 350 abstracts included in international peer-reviewed journals.
