Biography

Dr Khung Keong Yeo is a Clinical Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at the National Heart Centre in Singapore.

Dr Khung Keong graduated from the National University of Singapore, where he earned is Batchelor in Medicine and Surgery. He then travelled to the United States of America, where he gained his American Board of Internal Medicine Certifications in Internal Medicine from the University of Hawaii, and Cardiovascular Medicine/Internal Medicine from the University of California. During his time at this institution, he trained in the MitraClip percutaneous repair of the mitral valve for the treatment of mitral regurgitation. Dr Khung Keong now leads the MitraClip programme at the National Heart Centre in Singapore. 

Dr Khung Keong is a member of the Singapore Cardiac Society and the Academic Medicine Education Institute, a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research) for SingHealth. 

Dr Khung Keong has received numerous awards, including the SingHealth Excellence 'Outstanding Educator' Award in 2016, the Cardiovascular Research Award from the University of California in 2008, and the Best Resident in Cardiology in 2005 from the University of Hawaii. 

Assoc Prof Khung Keong Yeo, MBBS, is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, published by Radcliffe Cardiology on behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
