Biography

Dr Demilade Adedinsewo, a general non-invasive cardiologist, is dedicated to advancing women's heart health, cardiovascular disease prevention, and addressing cardiovascular health disparities. With a keen interest in leveraging digital tools for effective cardiovascular disease management, Dr. Adedinsewo currently holds the esteemed position of Mayo Clinic Florida Women's Health Scholar.

In her role, Dr Adedinsewo serves as the Director of Research for both the Women's Heart Clinic and the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program. Beyond clinical practice, she passionately advocates for heart health and collaborates closely with the American Heart Association, contributing to initiatives focused on cardiovascular disease awareness and health education.

Dr Adedinsewo's diverse interests span women's heart disease, general cardiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular epidemiology, and the application of digital tools for cardiovascular disease detection. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is evident in her completion of the Clinical Trials Research BootCamp 2021, a year-long program by the American College of Cardiology, and the Professional Certificate Program in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr Adedinsewo undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, Department of Education Administration, and earned a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease from Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She has also achieved certification in Artificial Intelligence in Business from Harvard University Extension School.

Dr Adedinsewo's commitment to excellence is reflected in her certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Diseases (2020) and Internal Medicine (2017). Her notable achievements include being honoured as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 2021 and being recognized as the Mayo Clinic Florida Women’s Health Scholar in 2020.

Actively engaged in her professional community, Dr Adedinsewo is a member of the Digital Medicine Society since 2021 and has served as the Department Diversity Leader for the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine since 2020. Her multifaceted contributions underscore her dedication to advancing cardiovascular health and education.
