Biography

Dr Halliday is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and BHF Intermediate Fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital, Guys’ and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. His research and clinical interests focus on the management of patients with cardiomyopathy and the use of cardiovascular magnetic resonance to improve treatment stratification. He aims to develop patient-centred, precision treatment approaches using targeted therapies and adaptable strategies guided by in-depth characterisation of the underlying dynamic disease substrate. He is particularly interested in the concepts of myocardial recovery and remission and methods to distinguish between the two.
