Biography

Dr Andrew Higgins is a clinical cardiologist in sections of Critical Care Cardiology and Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. He is the Associate Director of the Cardiac ICU and core faculty within the Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology as well as the Critical Care Medicine fellowships.  

A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr Higgins went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center before a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He continued his subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic with sequential fellowships in cardiac critical care and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. 

Dr Andrew Higgins serves as Section Editor (Critical Care Cardiology) for US Cardiology Review.
