Ajay J Kirtane, is Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital / CUMC. Dr. Kirtane is an internationally-renowned leader in Interventional Cardiology, specializing in the care of patients with complex coronary and peripheral vascular disease.

 

In addition to his clinical commitments, Ajay has a strong interest in clinical education and research, serving as Chief Academic Officer of Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care. He is a director of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation’s Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics conference, has served as a director of several international, national, and regional educational conferences, and has participated on the program committees for the scientific sessions of both the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. Dr Margaret McEntegart serves as the Director of Complex PCI and CTO programmes at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, US. She also holds the role of Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Columbia University Irving Medical Center / New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Before joining Columbia, Dr McEntegart served as a consultant interventional cardiologist at Golden Jubilee National Hospital (UK), where she played a pivotal role in establishing and leading the CTO and Complex PCI Programme.

Section Head of Interventional Cardiology

Dr Mohamed Azeem Latib is a world-leading expert in Interventional Cardiology. Dr Latib is the Section Head and Director of Interventional Cardiology as well as the Director of Structural Heart Interventions at the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care. 

He is an editorial board member of Interventional Cardiology: Reviews, Research, Resources (ICR3).

His focus is on complex coronary interventions as well as transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid interventions. His main clinical interests include Complex Coronary Interventions, Structural Heart Disease and New Device Innovation. He has extensive clinical experience in TAVR and MitraClip, as well as expertise in novel and new devices to treat mitral and tricuspid valve disease minimally invasively without open-heart surgery.

Prof Giuseppe Tarantini is the Head of the Interventional Cardiology Unit within the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Sciences at the University of Padua Medical School, Padua, IT. He is a globally recognised researcher specialising in ischemic heart disease, structural heart disease, and cardiomyopathies.

Prof Tarantini serves as the primary operator for a diverse array of interventional procedures, encompassing coronary interventions (including atherectomies), peripheral interventions (such as carotid and renal procedures), and structural heart interventions (involving ASDs, PFOs, TAVI, and AVP).
