This six-part programme, recorded at EHRA 2022, brings together five leading experts to share experience with impedance and magnetic cardiac mapping, explore the value of Omnipolar technology in atrial fibrillation and complex atrial procedures, and consider the value of Omnipolar technology in combination with imaging integrations in complex ventricular procedures.

 

Dr Ross Hunter (Barts Heart Centre, London, UK) and Dr Arian Sultan (University Hospital Cologne, DE) guide us through 'Omnipolar Mapping Workflow in PVI and Complex Atrial Cases: What Should You Know?'; Dr Tarvinder Dhanjal (University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, UK) delivers an insightful presentation entitled 'Impedance and Voxel Cardiac Mapping: The Power of Choice'. Finally, Dr Andreu Porta-Sanchez and Dr Ivo Roca Luque (Hospital Clinic Barcelona, ES) address 'Omnipolar Mapping and Imaging in Complex Ventricular Cases: What Should You Know?'.

Ross Hunter

Ross Hunter

Consultant and Professor of Cardiology

Personal History

Professor Ross Jacob Hunter was born in 1977 in the UK. He is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in arrhythmia management and the clinical lead for AF services at The Barts Heart Centre.3

 

Academic History

Prof Hunter earned his BSc in Cardiovascular Medicine from Imperial College London in 1998. In 2001, he was awarded an MBBS with a distinction from Guy’s Kings & St Thomas and his MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians in 2004.2

In 2013, he completed his PhD from the Queen Mary University of London in the field of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology with a thesis focused on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. That year, he was also awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the London Deanery for Postgraduate Medical Education.2

Arian Sultan

Arian Sultan

Cardiologist, University Hospital Cologne, Cologne, DE

Dr Sultan graduated in 2004 from Medical School University of Hamburg, and completed a Doctoral Thesis in 2007. Dr Sultan received Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 2012, and in 2015 Board Certification in invasive electrophysiology and device implantation. Since 2014 she has served as Senior Consultant University Heart Center Cologne, and since 2019 as Deputy Head of the Department of Electrophysiology at the University Heart Center Cologne.
