Venu Menon, MD, is Staff Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. His core areas of research include cardiovascular imaging, critical care cardiology, echocardiography and valve disease. Dr Menon received his MD from the JIPMER Medical School, Madras University, India. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, College of Physician & Surgeons, in New York. Previous to his current role, he served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He also served as Director of the Coronary Care Unit at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. He is a member of numerous societies, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Heart Association.
