Torbjørn Omland is Professor of Medicine at the University of Oslo, Norway. His research interests include the diagnostic and prognostic value of biomarkers in acute coronary syndromes and heart failure. Dr Omland has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet and Circulation. He received his PhD from the University of Bergen in 1996 and his Master of Public Health from Harvard University in 1998.
