Dr Mahida undertook specialist training in management of heart rhythm disorders at a number of world renowned centres of excellence. He spent one year in the pioneering cardiac arrhythmia unit at Hôpital Haut-Lévêque in Bordeaux, France. A further year was spent at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, which is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
Dr Mahida has also previously undertaken a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His areas of research include complex catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and genetics of arrhythmias
