Consultant Cardiologist, Head of Education & Honorary Senior Lecturer, St George's University Hospital, London.

Clinical Interests: General Cardiology, Heart failure and Cardiac Imaging (Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Echocardiography). Dr Ray was one of three consultants who developed and implemented the first national Acute Heart Failure Unit in the UK which opened in 2016. This provides specialist nursing, therapist and cardiology care to patients with heart failure.
Research/Education Interests: Dr Ray has ongoing research interests in acute heart failure and iron deficiency anaemia and is the principal investigator on a number of acute heart failure trials. He is also on the editorial board of European Cardiology Review.
