Roberto Sciagrà is an Associate Professor of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Florence, a position he has held since 2002. Prior to this he served as Vice Chief Physician of Nuclear Medicine at the same institution. Professor Sciagrà is the author or co-author of over 90 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, 39 chapters on books or proceedings and more than 130 abstracts for national or international congresses. He is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the European Association of Nuclear Medicine, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Associazione Italiana di Medicina Nucleare and the Nucleus of the Working Group of Nuclear Cardiology of the European Society of Cardiology. He is also a reviewer for the most important journals in the fields of cardiology and diagnostic imaging. Professor Sciagrà received his MD from the University of Florence in 1980, where he also completed a post-graduate degree in cardiology (1983) and a post-graduate degree in nuclear medicine (1986). Subsequently, he served as a Cardiology Fellow at Georg-August Universität in Göttingen.
