Biography

Neus Salvatella was born and raised in Barcelona where she graduated from Medical School. After opting for Cardiology and undertaking an internship at Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol, Badalona, Neus spent her first year of fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. Neus was awarded a grant to pursue further training abroad. After undertaking a 1.5 years fellowship at the acclaimed Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, Massy, France, her passion for complex PCI was born. Back to Barcelona in 2009, Neus has been working in different University public hospitals in the Barcelona area. For the last 10 years she has been holding a permanent position as senior staff in the Interventional Cardiology Unit at Hospital del Mar, Barcelona. Neus is also responsible for the curriculum and supervision of the young physicians undertaking the Cardiology internship in my institution. Neus has a passion for teaching; therefore, has been involved in several education programs in the field of complex PCI. Neus has participated as faculty and as a live operator in many international conferences.

Neus is also a member of the editorial board of Eurointervention and a member of the board of EAPCI Women. Neus is a member of the European Bifurcation Club, the Spanish Society of Cardiology, the Spanish Society of Cardiology.

In 2019 Neus also graduated as a yoga teacher and teaches yoga in a yoga studio in Barcelona.
