Prof. Dr. Katja Zeppenfeld, MD, PhD, FESC, FEHRA is a board-certified internist, cardiologist, full professor in cardiac electrophysiology and head of the clinical electrophysiology unit of the Heart Center Leiden.
Prof Zeppenfeld's clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias with a particular focus on catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia and arrhythmias in patients with congenital heart disease. Her research focuses on defining the substrate of arrhythmias in patients with structural heart disease and GUCH patients and on developing novel methods and applications for substrate imaging and multimodal image integration.
Prof Zeppenfeld is EHRA Board member, Associate Editor JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology, Member of the Editorial Board Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, Member of the Editorial Board, Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review.
