Jeffrey M Schussler, MD, is Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit at Baylor and Faculty at Baylor University Medical Center Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital. He is one of the Assistant Fellowship Directors for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, and sits on the Investigational Review Board. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Dr Schussler’s research has involved non-invasive coronary angiography and the use of multi-slice computed tomography (CT). He has publications on this topic in peer-reviewed journals, and has written a chapter for one of the current textbooks on CT cardiac imaging. He serves as a reviewer for several cardiovascular publications, including Medical Science Monitor, Hospital Physicians, British Heart Journal, Baylor University Medical Center Proceedings, American Journal of Cardiology, and Southern Medical Journal. He holds fellowships in the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. Dr Schussler graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1995, and went on to complete his residency and fellowships at Baylor University Medical Center in internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology.
