James T Dove, MD, is Past President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He also serves as Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief of the Division of Cardiology between 1990 and 1999. He is a founding partner of Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd, a 45-member group of cardiologists. His research interests include coronary artery disease and the use of electronic medical records in quality performance. Dr Dove graduated from Case-Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fourth year as Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine.
