Giuseppe Andò, MD PhD is Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Messina University and Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Messina University Hospital. Prof. Andò has been elected a Fellow and serves in the Scientific Board of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology (SICI-GISE) and has been appointed a Scholar in Cardiology and a Senior Fellow (FISC) of the Italian Society of Cardiology (SIC). He has authored 130+ manuscripts, including original articles, reviews and editorials and 4 book chapters. Prof. Andò is Local Principal Investigator in numerous international Randomized Clinical Trials (MATRIX, MASTER-DAPT, FIRE, DUBIUS, IMPROVE) and registries in the field of coronary interventional cardiology. He holds several editorial positions and serves as a referee for the MIUR (Italian Ministry of University) and the ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research activities), for academic institutions and for international peer-reviewed journals.
