Arthur J Labovitz, MD, FACC, is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Cardiology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Echocardiography Service. His field of specialization includes Doppler and contrast echocardiography, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation (AF), congestive heart failure, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and stroke, and intravenous β-blocker therapy in acute coronary syndrome. Dr Labovitz is a member of numerous professional organizations and serves on the editorial boards of multiple medical journals and several national committees. He graduated from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia in 1978.
