Biography

Dr. Andrea Ascoli Marchetti born in Rome the 16/11/62 and obtained the diploma of specialization in Vascular Surgery in 1993/1994 academic year. From 1997 he is researcher in Vascular Surgery, Medicine and Surgery, of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and carries out the professional activity in the University Policlinico of Tor Vergata. The research activities concern on the diagnostic one and the therapy of the arteriopathy of epiaortic vessel and the aorto-iliac and femoro-popliteal district. In particular the traditional surgical researches regard the employment of classic and the endovascular surgery. He is author of beyond 100 scientific papers. He is member of the main national and international scientific societies of Vascular Surgery. In 2002 he obtained the Vascular Surgery diploma from the European Division and Board of Vascular Surgery of the UEMS (Union Europeènne de médécins spécialistes). In 2006 he has achieved the suitability to Associate Professor for SSD MED 22. From 1 January 2007 to' present he is Associate Professor of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
