On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee it is pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Annual Meeting of the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease EASD Study Group in Munich, Germany. It is an honour to host and organize the Annual Meeting of the Study Group in 2015.

Munich is one of Europe`s most vibrant cities, combining traditional Bavarian culture with highly renown enterprises and excellence in research facilities.

We look forward to a successful meeting and a fruitful scientific exchange, which will support the advancement of the management of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. We also aim at initiating collaborations and networks at national and international levels.

The scientific programme will cover both basic and clinical science. A pillar of the programme will also be oral and poster presentations, which will be selected from submitted abstracts.
