Overview
This online clinical academic event will focus on recent advances in the management of heart failure. The event consists of two online sessions (webinar format) on consecutive days and approximately 2 hours in duration each. As the focus of the programme is on practical management of heart failure, the webinar sessions will be based on exemplary clinical cases and guideline recommendations to provide the attendees with up to date expert opinion on the different aspects of pharmacological treatment of heart failure.
All Faculty members are experts of international calibre with extensive clinical and research networks worldwide. Most of them have contributed to the development of national and international management guidelines.

Learning objectives
- To gain insight into the most recent developments in the pathophysiology of different forms of heart failure, including HFpEF and HFrEF.
- To briefly discuss non-cardiac treatments affecting heart function i.e. oncological treatments.
- To discuss current international management guidelines and their application to specific cases.
- To gain insight into the management of heart failure patients affected by different co-morbidities such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
- To present and discuss the management of iron deficiency and frailty in heart failure.

Professor Juan Carlos Kaski is an internationally renowned cardiologist and academic based in London, United Kingdom.
Giuseppe Rosano
Giuseppe Rosano was born and raised in Vibo Valentia, Italy, where he developed an early interest in medicine and cardiovascular science.
Theresa A McDonagh
Professor Theresa A. McDonagh is a consultant cardiologist based in London, United Kingdom. She serves as Clinical Lead for Heart Failure at King’s College Hospital and holds a professorship in Heart Failure at King’s College London.
Debasish Banerjee
Debasish Banerjee is a consultant nephrologist with special interest in cardiovascular complications of chronic kidney disease including heart failure, sudden cardiac death and cardiac workup before kidney transplantation in chronic kidney disease patients; glomerulonephritis, kidney stone diseas
Robin Ray
Dr Robin Ray graduated from Oxford University and Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London. He was received a BHF scholar award and a BHF clinical PhD studentship and completed a PhD at King’s College Hospital, London in endothelial function, blood pressure and heart failure.
