Overview

Intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism remains a challenge in acute cardiovascular care, with important questions around risk stratification, early deterioration and when to escalate treatment.

Join an international expert faculty for a focused live webinar examining the landmark HI-PEITHO trial, delivering new Level-1 evidence in intermediate-risk PE, and what these findings mean for contemporary practice. This session reviews the randomised data and its implications for treatment pathways, patient monitoring and multidisciplinary decision-making.

The programme features a detailed review of the multinational, multi-center HI-PEITHO study results, followed by practical insight into the use of the NEWS score for identifying clinical deterioration and supporting objective patient assessment.

Faculty will also discuss how these findings can be implemented in real-world settings, including the intensive care perspective and key operational considerations for hospitals managing acute PE.

The webinar concludes with a live audience Q&A, offering attendees the opportunity to put questions directly to the panel and discuss how this new Level-1 evidence may influence local protocols and patient care.
