Overview
STORM-PE: Novel Data Driving Change in PE Treatment
Join us for an exclusive webinar chaired by Prof Konstantinides (Mainz, DE), offering a focused exploration of advanced treatment strategies for intermediate-high and high-risk pulmonary embolism (PE). Together with leading experts Dr Montero-Cabezas (Leiden, NL), Dr Iannaccone (Turin, IT) and Dr Sławek-Szmyt (Poznan, PL), this session will spotlight the emerging clinical evidence and interventional techniques shaping the future of PE care.
Key highlights include:
- Risk Stratification & Clinical Decision-Making
- Clinical Trial Insights: Deep dives into the STORM-PE and STRIKE-PE trials and their implications for clinical practice
- Technology Spotlight: A detailed review of Computer Assisted Vacuum Thrombectomy (CAVT)
- Case-Based Learning: Real-world examples of PE interventions using CAVT, with discussion on technique, outcomes, and post-procedural care
- Interactive Panel Discussion: Engage with experts on multidisciplinary team dynamics, complication management, and future directions in personalised PE treatment
The session will conclude with key takeaways and an invitation to access post-event resources for continued learning.

- Review the technical considerations and procedural workflow of Computer Assisted Vacuum Thrombectomy including patient selection, access strategy and safety outcomes
- Apply real-world clinical experience through case-based learning, illustrating decision- making, procedural technique and post-procedural care in PE patients treated with catheter-based interventions
- Engage in multidisciplinary discussion to refine treatment strategies, enhance guideline- concordant care
