Anecita P. Fadol

Anecita P. Fadol

Dr Anecita Fadol, PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN is an Associate Professor in the department of nursing with a joint appointment in the department of cardiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Fadol is a nursing pioneer in the evolving field of cardio-oncology. Her extensive and unique expertise in cardio-oncology have been recognised nationally and internationally. She has written numerous book chapters, published in peer-reviewed journals, and is the editor of the “Cardiac
Complications of Cancer Therapy”. 

Her programme of research included the validation of the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory-Heart Failure (MDASI-HF) instrument, which was subsequently translated to Chinese and Spanish. She was on the leadership council for the Cardio-Oncology section of the American College of Cardiology. Dr Fadol is a fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Nursing, and was recently awarded as the 2021 Honorary Fellow in Cardiac Nursing by the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing.

Alessandra Ferrajoli

Alessandra Ferrajoli

Dr Ferrajoli is an Academic Hematologist/Oncologist practicing in the Leukemia Department at the University of Texas, MD Anderson since 1998. Her main area of interest includes the treatment and  Biology of Chronic  Lymphocytic Leukemia and its variants, and treatment of elderly patients with Acute and Chronic Leukemia. In these fields Dr. Ferrajoli has authored and co- authored more than two hundred and fifty publications in peer reviewed journals. 

Dr Ferrajoli serves on numerous journal editorial boards and grant proposal study sessions for several US and European Agencies. Dr Ferrajoli is a member of professional societies such the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the European Hematology Association (EHA).

Dan Lenihan

Dan Lenihan

Dr Dan Lenihan is a cardio-oncologist specialising in cardiology, heart disease and advanced heart failure, at Saint Francis Healthcare System, Cape Girardeau, US.

He is a co-Founder and Board Member of the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS), which is an international professional association whose primary goal is to eliminate cardiac disease as a barrier to effective cancer therapy. 

He is actively involved in patient care as the Director of the Cardio-Oncology Programme, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and the Heart Failure clinic at Saint Francis Healthcare System.

Joe Carver

Joe Carver

Dr Joe Carver is the Bernard Fishman Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, US. He is the Chief of Staff at the Abramson Cancer Center.

He is the Director of the Thalheimer Cardio-oncology Center at the Abramson Cancer Center and his clinical practice is in the subspecialty of cardio-oncology.
