Overview
Overview
Chaired by Prof Naveed Sattar (School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health, Glasgow, UK), Radcliffe Cardiology brings together a panel of distinguished experts, Prof Gabriel Steg (University Institute of France, Paris, FR), Prof Lale Tokgozoglu (Hacettepe University, Ankara, TR) and Dr Joshua Stolker (St Louis Hospital, Missouri, US) in this live roundtable broadcast to discuss their opinions on the thrombotic risk posed by acute infections. During this session, the panel will discuss and debate emerging data on the thrombotic risk associated with acute infections, including COVID-19 and the underlying mechanisms at play, identify patients at increased cardiovascular risk and discuss potential treatment approaches for these patients.
