Learn About Disparities in Treatment Access for Women with ATTR-CM from Dr Melissa Lyle
This two-part video lecture series, part of Women As One's CLIMB® 2024 Skills Training Program, addresses the sex differences in ATTR-CM and its diagnosis in female patients.
Discover how to improve access for women with ATTR-CM from Dr Melissa Lyle, Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic, FL, US. In this lecture, Dr Lyle begins by recognising how sex differences affect ATTR amyloidosis. She then discusses the challenges in treating women with ATTR-CM and how to increase clinical trial opportunities for these patients. Finally, Dr Lyle discusses ways in which physicians can utilise indexed echo parameters for diagnosis in order to increase diagnosis rates amongst women.
