About the CLIMB® Skills Training Program

 

Now in its fifth year, the CLIMB program has provided free, advanced clinical skills training to over 390 women physicians from 99 countries. This online program helps address the underrepresentation of women in advanced procedural cardiology subspecialties.

Physicians worldwide will now have on-demand access to didactic presentations delivered by leading faculty on five key clinical topics:

Women As One CLIMB® 2024 Skills Training Program: ATTR-CM

This focused programme, led by Dr Grace Lin and Prof Thibaud Damy, explores the complexities of ATTR-CM diagnosis and treatment. The curriculum covers key areas such as identifying different types of amyloid cardiomyopathy, understanding the patient journey, utilizing imaging modalities, recognizing the role of AI, addressing underdiagnosis in women, and exploring current clinical trials and treatment advancements.

This two-part video lecture series, part of Women As One's CLIMB® 2024 Skills Training Program, provides a comprehensive overview of the prevalence, demographics and clinical signs of ATTR-CM.

In this thorough lecture, Dr Ahmad Masri covers the key clinical red flags and signs that are essential for early diagnosis, including musculoskeletal issues, neuropathy, elevated biomarkers, and more. Dr Masri discusses screening strategies for this area, including the targeted evaluation of patients with heart failure, carpal tunnel sundrome and resistant neuropathy. Finally, Dr Masri emphasises the importance of early diagnosis, highlighting that recognition is the key to improving outcomes in these patients

Ahmad Masri

Ahmad Masri

Dr Ahmad Masri M.D., M.S. trained in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.

He specialises in caring for patients with conditions that result in abnormally thickened hearts, such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, amyloidosis and Fabry’s disease.
