Overview
During the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) Advanced Cardiovascular Intervention (ACI 2017) meeting in London (18-20th January 2017), Radcliffe Cardiology filmed a roundtable discussion with a group of allied health professionals discussing some challenges of a modern cath lab.
This discussion was moderated by Dr Robert Gerber (Hastings, UK) who was joined by a group of allied healthcare professionals including radiologists, physiologists and nurses. The discussant panel includes Rachel Hubble (Hastings, UK), Nishat Jahagirdar (London, UK), Rebecca Joyce (Worthing, UK), Karen Ross (Hastings, UK) and Bryan Walker (Manchester, UK).

Faculty Biographies
Robert Gerber
Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Associate Professor
Dr Robert Gerber is a Consultant Cardiologist working in East Sussex, United Kingdom, where he practices at both Conquest Hospital in Hastings and Eastbourne District General Hospital. Born and raised in the UK, Dr Gerber completed his medical education at King’s College London, where he also undertook the MB/PhD programme, distinguishing himself early in his academic and clinical career. Outside his professional work, he is a keen sportsman, using his interest in sport and exercise to support healthy heart screening initiatives and preventative cardiology.
Academic History
Dr Gerber completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, part of King’s College London, graduating in 2000 following completion of the MB/PhD programme. During this time, he was awarded the University of London Carpenter Prize for Physiology. He holds dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine and General Cardiology and is listed on the GMC specialist…
