Overview

Renal denervation (RDN) is rapidly advancing as an evidence-based intervention for hypertension, supported by updated international guidelines and an expanding body of long-term clinical data. In this on-demand programme, viewers will gain expert-driven insights into the latest recommendations and clinical evidence, with emphasis on how these developments translate into everyday patient care.

Through focused discussions and real-world case examples, the faculty, led and moderated by Dr Sripal Bangalore (New York University Langone Medical Center, New York, US), explores key topics including patient selection, procedural best practices and post-procedural outcomes. The session highlights practical strategies for integrating RDN into contemporary treatment pathways.

Your feedback helps us improve medical education and measure impact on clinical practice.

This Independent Medical Education programme is supported by Recor Medical

More from this programme

Part 1

Dr Sripal Bangalore introduces the session and the panel.

Part 2

Dr Kirtane reviews uRDN technology and emerging TCT data, including European real-world GPS results and a pooled 24-month analysis, then explores how these findings address guideline gaps, inform clinical decision-making and shape evolving practice for hypertension management in contemporary care.

Part 3

Dr Tehrani highlights real-world uRDN experience, featuring a brief centre presentation followed by a broad faculty discussion on practical use, patient selection, follow-up approaches, reimbursement considerations and perspectives on the future role of uRDN in everyday clinical practice.

Part 4

Dr Laffin reviews the 2025 AHA/ACC hypertension guideline updates on RDN, comparing US recommendations with 2023–2024 European guidance and explores expert perspectives on ideal patient populations, including BP thresholds, medication intolerance, background therapy and considerations for high-risk individuals.
