Prof Marianna Fontana is Professor of Cardiology and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the National Amyloidosis Centre, Division of Medicine, University College London, London, UK.

Professor Perry Mark Elliott was born on December 7, 1963, in London.⁶ He is a Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at University College London (UCL) and a Senior Investigator of the UK National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). 

He is Director of the UCL Centre for Heart Muscle Disease, Head of Clinical Research at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science UCL and a consultant cardiologist in the Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease at the Barts Heart Centre, St. Bartholomew's Hospital London, UK.³

Dr Elliott studied medicine at St. Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, London from 1982 to 1987.

Prof Elena Arbelo is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, where she serves as Coordinator of the Cardiac Genetic Diseases and Sudden Arrhythmic Death Unit.

She is a Clinical Professor at the University of Barcelona and a researcher at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS). Prof Arbelo is a member of several committees of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS).

Prof Arbelo is a committee member for several large-scale European Registries to gather data on atrial fibrillation and guideline implementation. She serves as a member of the Working Group on Atrial Fibrillation of the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM). 

Prof Arbelo is an editorial board member of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review journal. 

Dr Caroline Coats is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK. 

Dr Coats leads the West of Scotland Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service. She was awarded a Career Researcher Fellowship from the Chief Scientific Office and serves as Principal Investigator for several global clinical trials. 

Prof Sharma qualified in the UK in 1989 and was appointed Consultant Cardiologist and Physician at University Hospital Lewisham. In 2006, he took up the post of Director of Heart Muscle Diseases at Kings College London and was promoted to Professor of Cardiology at St George’s University of London in 2010.

He is medical director for Virgin London Marathon, consultant cardiologist for the CRY sports cardiology clinic at St George’s Hospital, and cardiologist for the English Institute of Sport, British Rugby League and the British Lawn Tennis Association.
