Kurt Huber

Prof Kurt Huber is Head of the 3rd Med. Dept. with Cardiology and Internal Intensive Care Medicine at the Clinic Ottakring, Vienna.

Prof Huber is an interventional cardiologist with over 35 years of experience. His main research interest covers basic research (mechanisms of thrombus formation and dissolution) as well as clinical research (acute coronary syndromes, organization of STEMI networks, antithrombotic therapy in CV diseases).

Davide Capodanno

Professor of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiologist

Prof Davide Capodanno is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Catania and Interventional Cardiologist at the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria “Policlinico G. Rodolico-S. Marco”, Catania, IT. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in interventional cardiology, thrombosis and cardiovascular clinical research.

With over 500 peer-reviewed publications, five interventional cardiology textbooks and 17 textbook chapters, Prof Capodanno is a prolific author and respected speaker, having delivered more than 200 invited lectures at global cardiology congresses. He is Co-Director of the PCR Clinical Research Course and Associate Director of TCT, two leading platforms for education in cardiovascular interventions.

Stefan James

Professor of Cardiology

Prof Stefan James is Professor of Cardiology at Uppsala University, Scientific Director of Uppsala Clinical Research Center and a senior interventional cardiologist at Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden. He is a past president of the Swedish Society of Cardiology and a Fellow of the ESC. He graduated from Uppsala University Medical School and completed specialist training in Uppsala. He has previously held positions at the Karolinska Hospital, the University Hospital Örebro and Duke Clinical Research Institute, Duke University.

Roxana Mehran

Roxana Mehran

Professor of Medicine, Cardiology and Professor of Population Health Science and Policy

Roxana Mehran is an internationally recognised interventional cardiologist and clinical researcher based in New York, United States. She has spent much of her professional career at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Hospital, where she has become a leading figure in cardiovascular clinical trials, interventional cardiology, and outcomes research. Her work is widely noted for its focus on improving patient outcomes, advancing evidence-based care, and promoting sex-specific research in cardiovascular medicine.

 

Academic History

Professor Mehran pursued her medical education and postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology, followed by subspecialty training in interventional cardiology. Her academic career has been closely aligned with Mount Sinai, where she has advanced through senior academic ranks.
