Revascularisation surgery (CABG)

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is one of the most commonly performed major surgical procedures and the most common procedure performed by cardiac surgeons. CABG remains the best revascularisation strategy in multivessel disease, reducing mortality and repeat revascularisation risk.
Load moreCoronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is one of the most commonly performed major surgical procedures and the most common procedure performed by cardiac surgeons. CABG remains the best revascularisation strategy in multivessel disease, reducing mortality and repeat revascularisation risk.
In patients with multivessel disease, CABG is associated with better survival, lower rates of major vascular and events (specifically MI and stroke) and repeat revascularisation, compared with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug-eluting stents.
