Medical Media Communication (publishing) Ltd, (trading as Radcliffe Cardiology)
PUBLISHED:

Medical Media Communications (Publishing) Ltd (MMC), today announces the acquisition of journals Interventional Cardiology Review and Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review and the complete archive of journals from Electric Word plc.

MMC will continue to trade as Radcliffe Cardiology and aim to develop their content portfolio for the continuing education of the global cardiology community. The acquisition of these two highly-respected peer-reviewed journals are core to this strategy.

MMC has also taken ownership of RadcliffeCardiology.com (formerly TouchCardiology.com), an online platform that offers free access to thousands of speciality and general interest cardiology articles published over the last ten years. Contributors include many global authorities in cardiovascular medicine.

Accessed by thousands of physicians monthly, RadcliffeCardiology.com also hosts a range of multimedia content – including expert round tables and webinars – and aims to provide practical support for the on-going professional development of the cardiologist.

Liam O’Neill, Publishing Director at MMC, commented, “The purchase of the cardiology portfolio is an exciting development for the development of these products. David and I originally launched the first cardiology journals and online platform whilst under the ownership of Touch Briefings in 2004, so this acquisition demonstrates the faith we have in these products. This is also the first time that the cardiology portfolio will be managed by those who have worked extensively within this industry, which can only be a benefit. Our initial aim is to build on the growing reputation of our journals for providing excellent review content, developing  Radcliffe Cardiology and it’s associated brands into the trusted resource for authoritative, physician-led cardiology education".
