Left Atrial Appendage meeting & Simple Education partnership
The LAA / Simple Partnership:
In July 2016, Simple Education and Left Atrial Appendage conference entered into a unique partnership where selected live cases from the LAA 2016 course would be hosted on the platform, we are pleased to introduce you to this world class content and this innovative medical education platform that is truly a leap forwards in how medical education is delivered.
This course focuses on how to close the Left Atrial Appendage and was a course from the 18th to the 19th November in Frankfurt, Germany in 2016. For more information on this and other subsequent courses please visit www.csi-congress.org/laa
The majority of patients with atrial fibrillation cannot take anticoagulation initially or have to stop it later due to complications. Even newly invented anticoagulants are often unsuitable for these patients. LAA closure has become a reasonable alternative for patients who are not able or willing to take anticoagulation.
During this 2-day course physicians get an overview on all aspects of this treatment modality. Clinical studies are covered and we demonstrate how to perform the procedure step by step and how to prevent and manage complications. Live case transmissions are a core of this course and will allow direct attendee-operator interaction to maximize the learning experience.

Simple Education is an online e-learning medical education platform that enables healthcare professionals from across the globe to engage with world class medical education, delivered by leading names in the cardiology world.
Simple Education enables users to purchase individual 'components', typically for £2.99, or whole streams or 'moments', typically for £12.99. This means HCPs can access world class content in their own time, at their office / home and engage with precisely the content they are interested in.
The unique Simple Education algorithm learns and adapts to user behaviour, which means that based on the content a HCP has already engaged with other relevant content will be suggested.
