Dr. Woodson is a vascular surgeon whose military service has provided him with a unique perspective on the synergy between military medicine and civilian medical practice. Injuries treated in the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in advances in trauma treatment and limb salvage. These, in turn, have had a major impact on Vascular Medicine and the civilian population.
