Pulmonary hypertension is associated with a variety of diseases. In its rare forms of pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension the outcomes were terrible until the advent of new treatments in the last twenty years. The success of the large international collaborations which have delivered clinical and basic science studies, and clinical trials of outstanding quality this century underline the need for international networking and collaboration by the next generation of scientists and clinicians. This is the starting point for this initiative. This is a new meeting exclusively for medical and basic science trainees and early career physicians in pulmonary hypertension from across Europe. Imperial College London plans to host sixty participants from 15 – 20 European countries. If you are a medical or basic science trainee or an early career physician within 1 year of completing training in pulmonary hypertension please consider submitting an abstract on any aspect of pulmonary hypertension or venous thromboembolism. The 60 best abstracts from across Europe will be selected and the people who submitted these winning abstracts will be invited to the meeting to present their abstract. The cost of attending the meeting will be £120 with all other expenses paid.
