HKSTENT is the first and only formal Interventional Cardiology Society registered as a charitable organisation under the Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong.

It was founded with the aim of promoting education, research, and advancement of Interventional Cardiology in Hong Kong and Asia for the benefit of interventionists, cardiologists, allied health workers, and the general public at large.
