The Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course is a three-day meeting in which the advanced trainee in interventional cardiology is exposed to all facets of coronary, structural, and endovascular intervention. The faculty includes acknowledged pioneers and innovators in the field as well as rising stars in interventional cardiology. The format consists of didactic lectures, panel discussions of clinical case scenarios and hot topics in interventional cardiology, and interactive angiographic reviews of challenging cases. There will be ample opportunities for interaction with faculty through traditional question/answer formats as well as live polling and chatting. Further fellow-faculty interaction is facilitated through “fireside chats,” which allow for opportunities for open discussion of career development.

The Fellows Course offers in-depth coverage of all the major issues in today’s practice of interventional vascular medicine, including the rationale for revascularization procedures in simple and complex lesion subsets, the performance of basic and complex angioplasty, and the appropriate use of devices including drug eluting stents, atherectomy, and thrombectomy devices. There is an additional emphasis on adjunct pharmacological agents, the use of intravascular imaging/physiology, and non-coronary topics such as vascular medicine/endovascular intervention and structural heart disease.
