This year we have expanded the conference to include 5 workshops and have dedicated one full day for our pediatric cardiology colleagues and one full day for our cardiac surgery colleagues. For the first time, the meeting will highlight recently-conducted large regional studies and have dedicated a session for this issue. Also for the first time we have designed a “Cardiology for the internist” session that will address clinical issues that internists face on a daily basis. In addition, there is an extensive and exciting adult cardiology program that will include joint GHA/ESC session, joint GHA/ACC session, ESC blood pressure council session, debate session and sessions addressing acute coronary syndrome, structural heart disease, cardiovascular imaging, prevention and heart failure.
