In order to prevent the development of related conditions, all people with CAD are advised to take antiplatelets and statins. Beta-blockers are sometimes used as add-on therapy, particularly in people who have heart failure or hypertension.
Novel therapeutic strategies under investigation include such as stem cells, nanotechnology, robotic surgery and other advancements. These treatment modalities show promising effects in managing CAD and associated conditions. Research on stem cells focuses on studying the potential for cardiac regeneration, while nanotechnology investigates nano-drug delivery and percutaneous coronary interventions including stent modifications and coatings.Load Less
