Virginia Tsapaki is Chief of the Medical Physics Department in Konstantopoulio Agia Olga public hospital. She has 16 years of experience in radiation protection and quality assurance in nuclear medicine, radiology, lasers and electrophysiology. Dr Tsapaki has been a radiation protection officer in numerous hospitals and private medical centres. She has participated in national, European Commission and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) research projects and been an invited speaker in numerous conferences and IAEA training courses. She has 40 publications in national and international scientific journals, conference proceedings and books and has given 80 oral or poster presentations in national and international conferences. She has a degree in physics from the University of Crete, Greece, an MSc in medical physics from Surrey University, UK and a PhD in medical physics from the University of Athens, Greece.
